Recipe of Wrapped Chicken Popsicle in Bacon
A very interesting recipe for cooking chicken fillet in bacon. White meat goes very well in this recipe in taste and consistency, but, of course, dark meat is much tastier. If you want to diversify your diet, try this dish.
You can cook chicken "popsicle" in bacon both in the oven and on the grill, the second option is just very, very tasty. By the way, you can season the minced meat to your liking, I really like the addition of cumin, thyme, dried garlic, etc., and you add your favorite aromatic spices.
Ingredients:
- Chicken fillet - 2 pcs.
- Bulb onions - 0.5 pcs.
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Semolina (semolina, couscous) - 1-2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ch.m. pepper - taste
- Bacon - 40 g
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Step by step recipe :
- Prepare all the necessary foods according to the list. Wash the chicken fillet under running water, pat dry with paper towels, cut off excess fat, peel the onion, wash.
- Cut the fillet into large pieces, chop the onion, put everything in a blender, grind into minced meat.
- Transfer the minced meat to a deep bowl.
- Add semolina or couscous, they will absorb excess water from the minced meat, add egg, salt and pepper to taste.
- Knead a homogeneous minced meat, let the semolina swell. Put the minced meat in the cold for 30 minutes.
- Divide the minced meat into portions with wet hands, then string it on wooden skewers in the form of kebabs, wrap the kebab with a strip of bacon along its entire length. You can wrap the chicken "popsicle" in bacon completely, or slightly, in this case one strip of bacon will be enough.
- Now chicken kebabs in bacon need to be put in the freezer for 30 minutes, so they will keep their shape well. After a while, grease the foil with vegetable oil, cover a baking sheet with it, put the chicken "popsicle" on it and bake at 200 degrees under the top grill for 30 minutes.
Serve the cooked chicken popsicle in bacon with your favorite side dish or with a fresh vegetable salad.
