Recipe of Balti Gosht




Ingredients:

  • One kg of beef
  • salt to taste
  •  two tablespoons of crushed ginger garlic
  • one inch piece of ginger fixed
  • two medium slices of onion
  •  half a cup of yogurt
  • a tablespoon of crushed red pepper
  •  a tablespoon of almonds
  •  crushed One tablespoon of coconut
  • one tablespoon of  garam masala 
  • one teaspoon of black cumin 
  • three to four green chillies
  •  green coriander for presentation
  • oil as required


Preparation:

  • Finely grind black cumin, almonds and coconut with yogurt and add ginger, garlic, salt and red pepper. 
  • Wash the meat and cut it into large pieces and marinate with the prepared mixture of spices. 
  • Heat the oil in a pan and add the hot spices. Fry the finely chopped onion in it till golden. Then put the meat in it and let it cook on low heat (close the lid and put something heavy on top so that steam does not come out and the meat melts in its own water). 
  • After 40 to 45 minutes, when the meat is melted and the oil is separated, add finely chopped ginger. Put the lid on the pan on low heat for four to five minutes and take it off the stove.


                          


Presentation:

Enjoy this delicious dish with Sher Mall or Taftan. It can take you an hour and a half to prepare and cook and this dish is enough for four to five people.I personally prefer roti or naan with balti gosht!!
